I do find this time of year weirdly wonderful. It' I do find this time of year weirdly wonderful. It's like the whole world has slowed its pace a little bit. The period between Christmas and New Year is a little disjointed - some people are at work, some aren't. The kids are off school, people are returning home after visiting relatives and friends.

Personally, I love to make a few plans for the new year. Not resolutions (because I never stick to them!) but I do find it's a good time to try to organise my life a little bit. At the moment, I'm sorting my accounts. I hate it. Finding receipts, trying to remember what I bought for £6.99 back in September, and WISHING I was more organised and had done this paperwork back then!

I'm also replying to dozens of messages from people, wanting to book their newborn and family photography in! There has been a huge rush in enquiries, as everyone finds teh time to sit down and do those things that they have put off throughout December, when life was manic.

To help to make things easier, I've put links to all my session info in the comments of this post. But if you'd rather speak to a real person, please do drop me a line via messenger, or email, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Once I've found that receipt, that is...
I LOVE to photograph new babies in their parents' I LOVE to photograph new babies in their parents' arms, skin to skin. It's one of my favourite images... It's also the pose that gets the most laughs. Because, a warm, relaxed and NAKED baby can often cause a puddle... or worse!

So when you ask me for this gorgeous image, I will always double-check that you're OK with being used as a potty.

Also, if the mess isn't visible, I'll ask you to keep still while I get the shot! Even if you have a, erm, handfull!!
As you can imagine, I do a LOT of washing! After e As you can imagine, I do a LOT of washing! After every session, all fabrics that I have used are washed and hung out to dry.
I’ve become a bit of an expert at removing baby stains! It's an unfortunate side effect when I make sure babies have had a big feed, and then I take their nappy off....!

The best way is to run the stain under a COLD tap, as quickly as you can. Do this for a few minutes and you’ll be surprised by how clean it gets! Then rub some washing liquid directly onto the stain before you pop it into the machine and wash as normal at 30 degrees.

If you can line-dry outside, the sun’s rays are a natural bleaching agent and will help to keep light colours nice and bright. Even in the winter, the sun can help to keep fabrics clean!
